- Members should observe strict personal hygiene.
- Aikidogi's must be kept clean.
- The correct coloured belt should be worn at all times.
- Hakama to be worn by Dan grades or any person approved by the club Coach/Instructor.
- Zori should be worn to and from the tatami.
- No jewellery should be worn on the tatami.
- No make up to be worn on the tatami.
- Long nails must be taped during practice.
- White vests may be worn under the Aikidogi where appropriate.
- Members must sit in grade order at the beginning and at the end of classes.
- Members should ask permission to enter or leave the tatami.
- Members should bow when entering or leaving the dojo.
- Members to make the correct standing/sitting bow at the beginning and end of class or when changing partner.
- Members should call the instructor "Sensei" in the dojo.
- The senior grade is in charge until the instructor arrives.
- There should be no excessive talking during practice.
- There should be no smoking, drinking, eating or swearing in the dojo.
- Anyone found to have partaken of alcohol or drugs prior to practice will not be allowed on the tatami.
